The law firm of Campbell, O’Brien & Mistele, P.C. was founded in 1952, by Dale C. Campbell and Edwin G. O’Brien.  Former Internal Revenue Service agents, they partnered to provide tax planning to individuals and businesses.  In 1970, they were joined by Henry E. Mistele, and the firm developed into one of the premier law firms in the metropolitan Detroit area providing a wide range of legal services directed primarily to the entrepreneurial client.  After the eventual retirement of the firm’s founders, the firm retained its identity and mission throughout the years under Mr. Mistele’s leadership.

The firm was originally located in the Penobscot Building in downtown Detroit.  However, in 1992, the members of the firm decided to relocate to Oakland County in order to be closer to its corporate clients, as the county boasts the presence of 38% of the Fortune 500 companies.  The firm chose Troy, Michigan for its new location.  The firm’s offices are located in the Liberty Center on Big Beaver, a visible sight along the I-75 corridor and passed by thousands of commuters everyday.

The firm’s mission is to be a well-rounded resource for its business/corporate clients and their owners.  For that reason, the firm has selected legal professionals with experience not only in business and transactions, but also in other practice areas that would be of service to businesses and their owners, such as litigation, employment law, real estate, tax planning, international law, family law and estate planning.  Moreover the firm has developed close working relationships with law firms specializing in other areas, such as patent and trademarks and immigration, as well as with several international law firms.

Campbell, O’Brien & Mistele maintains the highest rating given by Martindale Hubbell Law Directory.  The firm is listed in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.
